Along Bali's southern coast you can two of the island's most famous sea temples: Pura Tanah Lot and Ulu Watu (see map). The Javanese priest Nirartha established a series of sea temples around the island in the late 15th-early 16th century; today they are some of the most visited tourist attractions in Bali.
